Looking forward (part two)

For many on last years trip, the evening spent at the pro-glacial lagoon at Jokulsarlon was the most atmospheric and awe-inspiring location. The silence only broken by the "scrunch" as icebergs scrap past each other.

We shall hope for a similar experience in the late afternoon of Thursday 2nd September.

Looking forward

This was a really exciting part of our last trip to Iceland; Gulfoss is a spectacular, noisy waterfall with a spray-filled gorge and beautiful cascade.

A photo call on the rocks beside the main falls?

Look at the previous post for a photo of last years group on the rock outcrop on the left hand side of the waterfall.

Trip Introduction

Here at Idsall School, we are pleased to be able to take a GCSE/AS level field trip to Iceland in the school holidays between 30th August and 4th September 2010. This will be an educational visit, which will form part of our school’s enrichment programme and for many students it will be the highlight of their GCSE Geography course.

We hope to receive reports and pictures whilst the geographers are away.
